Alexander Wang
Alexander Wang, who founded his namesake line in 2004 at age 19, debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2007. His "off-duty model" aesthetic--a take on casual streetwear with a youthful urban edge--won him the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2008 and subsequent CFDA awards for Womenswear and Accessory Designer of the Year in 2009 and 2011. Wang's tailored skirts, trousers and overcoats with smart couture-influenced silhouettes join 90s-influenced bra tops, shorts, cropped sweatshirts, bodycon dresses in neoprene leather or fluorescent tech fabrics. Rounded out by his signature Rockie Diego bags and backpacks each season's range of covetable shoes says it all with a modern vision of femininity animated by contrasts: playful tough sexy provocative refined.
