Rombaut

Belgian designer Mats Rombaut's Paris-based label, Rombaut, offers an ethical alternative to fast fashion through its selection of environmentally friendly footwear. Created in 2013, the collections are made with repurposed, biodegradable, and vegan materials and avoids toxic substances. Plant-based leathers from natural  sources such as apple, coconut, and tree bark are produced in the designer’s  workshop and each style is hand-finished for superior quality. The chunky soles  characterizing the sneaker designs have drawn attention as much as their  unconventional materials. Slip-ons, angular heels and biotech-inspired lace-up  boots complete Rombaut's vision of perfecting the balance between organic and the  avant-garde in high-fashion footwear.
